Emergency Food Drive With the disruption in food assistance, many of the families that C24/7 serves are facing a food crisis this month. We’re helping them collect the following items (drop off at church Nov. 9 & 16):

  • Canned goods (vegetables, fruit, soup, tuna, chicken, etc.)

  • Boxed meals (mac & cheese, pasta, rice, stuffing)

  • Breakfast items (oatmeal, cereal, pancake mix, syrup)

  • Snacks (granola bars, crackers, trail mix) Spices and seasonings

  • Baking supplies (flour, sugar, oil)

  • Spices and seasonings

  • Shelf-stable milk or juice

C24/7 is a Christian nonprofit organization in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side of Chicago. They have served the community for over a decade through after-school programs, job development, and community outreach. 

Volunteer Needs: After-School Program

C24/7’s after-school program serves children in grades K–12 who have experienced poverty, violence, fatherless homes, and/or household addiction. It’s a safe space for children to receive homework help, Bible study, and a meal five days a week.

Opportunities include:

  • Organizing and leading a craft or game

  • Helping with homework/tutoring

  • Providing a meal and/or snacks

When:

  • Choose a day to serve, Monday–Friday, 3:15–7 p.m. 

Who can serve:

  • Individuals or groups

  • Families can serve together 

  • Homework helpers must be high school age or older
